Never rushed. The anesthesiologist was gentle and soft spoken. And the surgeon has a way about him that makes you feel at ease. I've had teeth pulled before but not like this. Pain free. Dr. P and team have helped make my dream (inspired by the movie “Root Cause”) to remove two infected root canals (doing all the proper Biological steps plus new ones like the Hilotherm mask 🤩), restore my jaw bone with L-PRF Fibrin and recently install the best Swiss Dental Solutions ceramic white zirconium dioxide implants (just like another pioneer Dr. Blodgett in Portland, OR)… this process could of been done in 4-6 months, but I drew it out longer because I live in Maine (yep I definitely drove to NJ for ME because we don’t have Biological oral surgeons and the other New England options are a joke)… this last visit I had 2 molar implants installed on Monday, wore the “chill-mask” for 2 days taking breaks for food and the complimentary light therapy. I got to go to light therapy everyday up to my follow-up on Friday. All looks good and I do a virtual follow up in 2 weeks. I believe my dedication to wearing the mask and going to light therapy accelerated my healing process and substantially reduced swelling… the down to earth atmosphere of the office and breeze of sedative surgery with a competent surgeon has made these bi-annual 1 week trips away from home worth the drive and hotel stay; Monmouth County NJ is a beautiful place and forever will have a place in my heart.

OUTSTANDING!!! Dr. Ponquinette changed my life! To me, he's like a magician because I didn't think what he did could ever be done. About 7 years ago, I had a tooth that was loose and had to be pulled and my dentist back then recommended I see an oral surgeon right by my house and I did and he told me that I would have to live with a missing tooth. I was totally bummed out! It was second from the back so it didn't show when I smiled, but things would get caught in the space (nuts, etc.) and I kind of felt like a hillbilly. Last Fall (October 2025) another tooth, closer to the front was loose and had to be pulled out and my new dentist recommended I see Atlantic Oral Surgery. And boy, am I glad he did! Dr. Ponquinette said he could set me up with implants for BOTH missing teeth! He could give me a sinus lift so I could have a tooth where the other oral surgeon said he couldn't do anything. I couldn't believe it! I was so excited! So Dr. Ponquinette did the foundation for the teeth (it takes a while for your mouth to be ready for the implant teeth) and my new dentist put in my new implant teeth last week. I finally got back my full set of chompers and I'm smiling from ear to ear! Thank you so much Dr. Ponquinette for really changing my life and to Joe (his assistant) and the ladies up front! Dr P is an amazing, smart, thinks outside the box. The laser light treatments, hyperbaric chamber made my recent oral surgery more bearable. I had titanium plates that needed to be removed bc it was causing heavy metal toxicity. He was so thorough and never pushed me to do anything I didn’t want. I cannot recommend a better oral surgery practice. Effectively run office, little waiting time and a staff that cares and understands my complicated illness such as Lyme disease. I am so grateful to have been referred to this practice.
